BENTOGROUT REMEDIAL
WATERPROOFING GROUT
WATERPROOF EXISTING
FOUNDATIONS WITHOUT EXCAVATING
Bentogrout
is a high-solids, sodium bentonite based grout used to seal water
leaks in below-grade foundations, floor slabs, manholes, tunnels,
utility vaults and metal sheet piling interlocks. Bentogrout is injected
into the soil adjacent to the structure in a fluid state, thus eliminating
the cost of expensive excavation. After injection, Bentogrout forms
into a solid material that is impermeable to water penetration. Bentogrout
is also effective in stopping moisture condensation on the interior
surface of foundation walls that have no visible water flow through
concrete cracks or joints.
The
reason Bentogrout is so effective is that it fills small cracks and
voids in the structural concrete, as well as, fills the voids in the
surrounding soil. The positive injection pressure places the Bentogrout
tightly against the structure and intermixes it with the soil to create
an impervious layer. Bentogrout does not shrink or crack in sub-strata
ground formations. It's performance is not effected by freeze/thaw
or wet/dry cycling. Bentogrout is non-toxic and non-corrosive. Where
it is not practical to inject next to the foundation from the surface,
Bentogrout can be pumped from the interior of a structure.
Bentogrout
easily mixes with fresh water and remains pumpable for 45 minutes.
Its ease of installation allows the applicator to jacket the entire
exterior surface of the foundation to prevent water infiltration.
Bentogrout is a much faster and more economical means of providing
a waterproofing layer to existing foundations than traditional excavating
and applying a waterproofing membrane.
